The Scholar game show was conceptualized by Macheri Samuels, with the goal of creating an engaging and educational television show dedicated to assisting in the advancement of the education of exceptionally promising students with financial need.

Her academic focus was ingrained in her from an early age by her father, Winston Samuels and beloved mother, Lorna Samuels. With their support and encouragement she was able to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Human Resource Development and a Master’s degree in Project Management and Business Engineering. She is a past student of Hampton School and the University of the West Indies.

The game show is an independently filmed production operated by Tribe Creations Ltd, a Jamaican incorporated company established in 2022. Prizes are intended to cover a share of the student’s educational experience, whether in full or in part – including tuition, books and required fees. Prizes vary by sponsor and individual success of the participant.
